Options You Have When the Insurance Company Wrongfully Denies Your Vandalism Claim

You may have come home from vacation to find your residence robbed, vandalized, and an utter mess. You most likely feel angry, sad, violated, and fearful about the damage that occurred to the place you lay your head down at night - the place called home.

The one thing you probably don't fear is calling the insurance company to report the damage and turn in a vandalism insurance claim. You know that your homeowner's insurance is paid and that you have coverage for vandalism and theft, so you may assume that your insurance company will cover your personal property damages.

What if the insurance company does not pay your vandalism claim?

Although you may feel that your homeowner's insurance covers you for losses and damages caused by vandalism, your insurance company may interpret the policy differently. Unfortunately, insurance companies are known to use tricks and tactics to wrongfully deny your vandalism claim or to settle your theft claims for less than you deserve.

Your insurance company may open an investigation regarding the vandalism, which will allow them to look for anything they can use against you to wrongfully deny your insurance damage claim. They may not make this process easy on you, and you may not know what to do.

Sometimes insurance companies use bad faith practices, and they should not get away with it. If your homeowner's insurance company wrongfully denied your vandalism claim, you have rights.

Our qualified residential insurance litigation lawyers can challenge the insurance company on your behalf, fighting to get you the fair compensation that you deserve. At the Voss Law Firm, we will sit down with you, review your case, and answer your questions in a free consultation. Call us at 888-614-7730 today.

I just started an insurance policy because there is a woman who has been terrorizing my family for months, I feared she would harm my vehicle so I got a policy and conveniently 2 days later my car was severely damaged. An inspector waited 5 days to come inspect and because we had 2 bad storms, she stooped down for aproxamately 10 seconds and reported that my 3 slashed tires looked as if they had been flat for some time. Now not only am I worried they will deny my claim, but I can also attempt to get video surveillance from a local gas station that I was at 2 days prior to the incident. Can they deny my claim because of this??
