Hail and high winds pound many communities across the majority of states in our nation; however, some states generally endure more property damages from hail and windstorms than others. Unfortunately, wind and hail storms are some of the most frequent weather events that occur and also cause a large amount of property damages.

At the top of the list sits Texas for the most hail and wind damage claims filed last year. According to the report, there were 47,000 claims from State Farm policyholders in Texas in 2012, for wind and hail damages.
