Attorney Bill Voss, of The Voss Law Firm, P.C., recently traveled to Moore, Oklahoma to be the keynote speaker at a rebuilding seminar, hosted by ERI Construction. Moore was one of the towns that was devastated by the EF5 tornado that ripped through Oklahoma back in May; the town was home to Plaza Towers Elementary School, where several people died, as well as the Moore Medical Center that lost an entire story of the building.
The crowd to which Voss spoke was made up of a variety of professionals who are affected when huge storms occur, like the May tornado. The group included commercial contractors, property management firms, public adjusters, general contractors, roofers, risk managers, and other industry professionals. Voss was brought in as one of the country's top policyholder attorneys, spoke with the group about a roadmap to recovery, and outlined the ethics of representing clients. The rebuilding seminar was completely free of charge and was meant to be a way for industry professionals to connect and discuss options for handling insurance claims properly and efficiently. Voss also spoke to the group about how to get claims paid in full.
The seminar was sponsored by JEH Company, a residential roofing material company. It was held on June 27, 2013 from 5-10 p.m. at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Moore.
