What should I be aware of when looking at coin grading so I don't get taken advantage of or become a victim of coin grading fraud?
It is a good idea to purchase coins that have been graded according to the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) or Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), since they are considered the top tier in grading services.
Some sellers will make you believe that their coins were graded by PCGS when they weren't - trying to push off an overgraded coin by a third tier grading service.
Look closely at the slabs, and if you see sellers claiming PCGS or NGC prices for gold coins in other grading company's holders, then you should beware.
