The Voss Law Firm, P.C. Partners with The Recreational Fishing Alliance to Help Victims of Superstorm Sandy

Bill Voss, owner of The Voss Law Firm, P.C., is a two boat owner and has been an avid saltwater fisherman for 30 years.  His team helps those with insurance claims on a contingency-fee basis.

On October 29th, Superstorm Sandy ripped up the East Coast leaving a wide path of destruction in it’s wake.  Sandy impacted policyholders from Southern Florida to Northern Maine and as far west as Ohio. West Virginia was crippled by several feet of snow while New York was paralyzed by flood, wind and fires.  Although thousands scrambled to prepare for the storm to protect their homes, businesses and boats, their efforts were no match for the power of Superstorm Sandy.

In terms of overall recreational boat losses, experts initially estimated over 32,000 boats were damaged in New York, followed by New Jersey's 25,000, Connecticut's 2,500 and 6,000 remaining in various states. Dollar damage to recreational boats (only) in New York is estimated at $324 million, followed by $242 million in New Jersey and $23 million in Connecticut.  Previously, the single largest storm damage event affecting recreational boats was 2011's Hurricane Irene (approximately $500 million in damage to boats). In the 2005 storm season, Hurricane Wilma and Katrina damage was estimated at over $700 million combined.

When consumers buy insurance, they purchase a promise that should the unexpected happen - whether from flood, wind, fire or other disaster - the insurance company will cover the losses. Unfortunately, once a damage claim is made, it is not unusual for an insurance company to under value, underpay, delay, partially deny, or even completely deny payment of a claim without proper justification or warning.  Bill Voss and his team of insurance experts have been helping thousands of boat owners with their marine insurance claims, as well as countless families with their residential claims, and many more business owners with their business insurance claims throughout the years when insurance companies fail to live up to their end of the bargain.

The Voss Law Firm, P.C. represents policyholders on a contingency-fee basis, which means clients pay the law firm nothing for legal services unless there is a successful recovery on behalf of the policyholder.  The law firm has teams of experts standing by to aid victims of Superstorm Sandy and can have boots on the ground to evaluate losses within 24 hours of being contacted.  The attorneys and experts and The Voss Law Firm, P.C. are working hand-in-hand with The Recreational Fishing Alliance to make sure those with insurance claims get fair compensation for their loss, and get paid by their insurance carrier as soon as possible.

If you have a loss and are dealing with an insurance company, you might consider reaching out to Bill Voss at The Voss Law Firm, P.C. to discuss your claim.  Mr. Voss is offering all RFA members absolutely free, no obligation consultations related to their insurance claim.  Mr. Voss is also offering free, no-obligation insurance policy review and interpretation to all RFA members.

On average, we see a 780% increase in claim payment after our involvement for the Policyholder.  Insurance companies know us and know we mean business, translating into quick payment in full on our files.  I truly believe we bring an incredible amount of value to the Policyholder.” ~ Bill Voss, Policyholder Advocate
